Bruschetta, (pronounced broo-skayt-tah) is a simple dish with fresh Italian tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, garlic and some extra virgin olive oil. There are many ways to make this depending on what you have on hand. You may use fresh tyme of oregano leaves, or sometimes in the colder seasons when I do not have fresh herbs I just use some dried tyme. I also like using oregano with some crumbled feta for something different.
Ingredients
- 4 tomato Roma
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1 tbsp basil fresh
- 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
