This is by far the best poutine that I have made at home! Its an “Mexican Poutine.” The other day I made some chicken taquitos (recipe will follow soon) and I had some left over chicken that I made with the slow cooker, it was so tasty I figured I would try a Mexican style poutine. I had tried something similar on poutine week at “Poutine Centrale” so I wanted to give it a try. I started with some home-made oven baked fries, then I made a simple brown gravy with butter and beef consommé. Layered it with cheese curds, fresh tomatoes, chicken, pickled jalapeños, coriander, green onions, and finally some sour cream! So darn good. I promise that the recipe will be up soon, but for now you can drool on these pictures! sorry.
